Summer Color to Try: Red
I share a lot of neutral and pink outfit inspiration, but I also love a good pop of red. Of course, I love wearing red around Valentine’s Day and Christmas, but it’s also the perfect color for summer!
Besides looking great and festive for Memorial Day and Independence Day, bold shades of scarlet and crimson can look flattering against your (faux) tan and stand out in the bright sun. I’m sharing some cute red pieces I found on Amazon so you can try this summer color trend yourself!
Last year, I wore this America t-shirt all summer. The denim shorts are from Amazon, and they’re the C Fresh Bright Blue which is sold out in most sizes. The C Moon Stone Blue has more sizes.

Summer Color to Try: Red
Red Shirts and Tops
These red tops I found will look great with denim or chino shorts, jeans, or white pants. I found a few I thought were fun for Memorial Day and Independence Day, but the others can be worn under a jacket or cardigan all year.
Red Dresses
I love how cool and comfortable dresses are on hot summer days! These red dresses will be wonderful for church, backyard barbecues, brunch dates with the girls, and so much more.
Red Handbags
Amazon has so many affordable handbags which allow you to experiment with fun or bold colors! I talked about this year’s handbag trends here, but one of the most popular trends was top handle bags, so I made sure to include a few of those.
Red Shoes
I love a good statement shoe moment! You can pair these red sandals and wedges with so many outfits, but how cute would they be with a white sundress or a red blouse with white pants?
Red Sunglasses and Jewelry
Throw on a red accessory like an earring or a pair of sunglasses, and you are ready for any summer outing! I included a few red, white, and blue options in case you are looking for a statement earring for your Fourth of July activities.

Beauty For the Heart– After this, the word of the LORD came to Abram in a vision: “Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your very great reward.” Genesis 15:1
Truth: Devotion from Anne Graham Lotz: Fixing my Eyes on Jesus
Jesus said with quiet authority, “Do not let your hearts be troubled” (John 14:1). It’s a command you and I are to obey. Deliberately calming ourselves is a choice we’re to make in the face of setbacks, accidents, failures, and all kinds of other calamities that cause us to be terrified of the consequences.
In the midst of our fear, Jesus commands us to stop letting our imaginations run wild, to stop analyzing every detail again and again. Peace begins with a choice to spot being afraid, followed by a decision to start trusting God. It’s been said that peace is not the absence of danger but the presence of God.
When I toss and turn in the middle of the night, worried over some troublesome situation in my life, I’m comforted and calmed as I meditate on who God is. When you tend to be afraid…. don’t be. Trust Him!
Let your beauty shine from the inside out today!
