I’m always looking for ways to layer in the winter (why are office temperatures so unpredictable?), and a short-sleeved sweater is one of my go-to items. It’s a great way to add some warmth without trying to shove chunky sweater sleeves into a blazer. And, when you inevitably find yourself in an office with someone who has a space heater cranked all the way up, you can take off the blazer and avoid overheating.
This mock turtleneck from Ann Taylor is a great basic and comes in both regular and petite sizes.
The sweater is $74.50 full price at Ann Taylor — but today you can get 30% off — and comes in regular sizes XXS–XXL and petite sizes S–XL.
Anne Klein has a plus-size option; the black version of the sweater is available in 1X–3X for $79 at Belk, while the white is on sale for $47 at Dillard’s, but with only 1X and 2X in stock.
