ASPEN OUTFIT GUIDE

ASPEN OUTFIT GUIDE

If you’ve followed me for a while, you know that I have a complete obsession with Aspen. I love the city so much… there’s always something fun to do, somewhere amazing to eat and lots of fun people in the town. Thankfully, I’ve had more excuses to get over there lately since we now have several clients there for Muse Consultants… so definitely can’t complain about that!

That being said, I’ve been going there often in both the winter and summer times and one of the most frequent questions I get is what I wear when I’m there. I’ve rounded up some of my favorite looks by season and details on what you need to pack for your getaway to the mountains! Whether you’re going for shopping and food or skiing and après… I’ve got you covered with lots of ideas! And if you’re looking for things to do, check out my Aspen Travel Guide!

SUMMER IN ASPEN

Aspen is literally the prettiest town in the summer. The streets are filled with fresh, blooming flowers and the weather is so crisp and cool… it definitely beats Texas in the summer. I It gets pretty warm during the day, but chills up later in the evening, so I highly suggest packing layers. A jean jacket or moto jacket is absolutely essential and I always love to have a wrap or scarf packed too. It’s also a great idea to pack some lighter sweaters for days that are a bit windier or chillier.

And of course you can’t forget a hat! I finally splurged on one from Kemosabe last time I was there and I’m OBSESSED! They’re a bit pricier but they’re so unique and great quality, so I know I’ll have it for a long time. AND you can wear it practically any season, and in Aspen you’ll always fit right in when you wear it.

Overall, Aspen is fairly casual during the day for the most part, so jeans, sneakers and casual tops are all perfect. Everyone gets a bit fancier at night, especially if you’re heading to dinner somewhere like Betula or Matsuhisa, so fun dresses, wedges, nicer tops, boots and sandals are all perfect to pack as well. Again, don’t forget the layers!!

WINTER IN ASPEN

If you’ve ever been to any mountain town in the winter, you know just how bitter cold it can get and Aspen is no different. I LOVE Aspen in the winter though because the fashion is so chic and it’s easy to fit right in when you have the right accessories and pieces. A good, warm coat is absolutely essential and I LOVE the one I just recently bought this season. It’s sherpa and long so it keeps me so warm and goes with everything.

I also always pack a few pairs of boots for when I’m there. You can’t go wrong with cowboy boots since the town leans a bit western in style. I also always bring some warm winter boots that work for the snow and ice, but don’t sacrifice on style. And of course bring the warm accessories like beanies, hats, scarves, gloves and sweaters. You’ll need them, trust me!
